Every base in a file gets its own patch of the same landscape, so a unit's bases flow into each other and no two are alike. Write down the terrain number to make the same landscape again later.

About the Base Studio
The Miniature Base Creation Studio makes 3D-printable bases for tabletop miniatures. Pick a shape and a standard size (the common wargaming sizes, from 25 mm rounds to large ovals), choose an edge and an underside, and download an STL ready for your printer. Height and slope start on values that match the look of popular plastic bases, and each has a Reset button if you change it. All sizes are in millimetres; you can type any size into the number boxes.
Edges. Bevelled bases slope like Citadel plastic bases. Straight bases have upright sides. Rounded bases have a soft top edge. Lipped bases have a raised rim around a slightly recessed top, which holds sand, flock or water-effect resin neatly.
Terrain. Pick a style, then fine-tune it in five groups. Ground has two layers of hills, large and small, that rise above and dip below the base's top, plus fine roughness. Rocks has two passes too: boulders and stones. Rocks stay whole: water never cuts into them, so a boulder can stand partly in a pool and stones can lie on the bottom. Water cuts pools into the base with flat bottoms, ready for water-effect resin (paint first, then pour); the shore setting runs from abrupt, cliff-like banks to long gentle slopes. Pools and dips never cut closer than 0.8 mm to the bottom of the base, so a deep pool on a thin base is shallower than the slider says. Wear adds cracks and trampled footprints, only on dry ground. Tracks runs something across the base: tire ruts, tank treads, a wagon with its horse, or a line of footprints. For footprints, pick a foot (boots, sneakers, bare feet, a bird, a deer, a shod horse or one of four mechs) and set its length and step; each foot starts at a size that suits 28–32 mm figures. Tracks push stones aside, press the ground flat under them and stay out of pools, and changing the terrain style keeps them. New terrain rolls a different landscape; its number brings the same one back. When you make several bases, each gets its own patch of one continuous landscape, so they look like they belong together but no two are the same.
Printing. Print bases flat side down, straight on the plate. On an FDM printer, 0.12–0.16 mm layers give a smooth bevel. Check the size of one base against your models before printing a whole unit.
Using your bases. You can use the bases you make here however you like, including commercially: print them, paint them, share them, and make and sell them. The one thing I ask is credit. Whenever you show or sell them publicly (product listings, photos, videos, social media posts or written work), include:
“Bases made with the Savi Minis Base Studio (saviminis.ca)”
Make saviminis.ca a live link where the platform allows. On social media you can instead tag Savi Minis (Instagram @saviminis, Facebook @saviminis, X @SaviMinis) and mention Savi Minis in the caption. See also the Terms and Conditions.
Payments and your file. The Base Studio runs separately from the Savi Minis shop. Payments go straight through Stripe, so they won't appear in your shop account or order history, even when you're signed in. Your base file is made in your own browser and isn't stored anywhere, not on this site and not in your account, so save it to your device right after paying. Stripe emails you a receipt; if a download goes wrong or you lose the file, get in touch with your receipt and I'll sort it out.
